Will we ever find a way out of the filter bubble that surrounds us? Or are we just imagining things about the outside world, hence we find it horrific? And while we fight this horrific world, are we turning horrific ourselves? From the perspective of Winston Smith we see Big Brother possessing absolute power, the Inner Party keeping an all-encompassing surveillance, and the Two Minutes Hate turning aggression into mass worship.
